Dear friends,
I am back from my annual winter hiatus! And as usual, it’s still snowing here in Ottawa in April. I will be having words with the Weather Gods.
Luckily, there is much to look forward to this month in the form of upcoming wine tasting events! Prep your palates and get your tasting pants on!
Wine events taking place in the Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto triangle in April:
Life is a Cabernet Masterclass - Ottawa, Thursday, April 4, 7-9 p.m.
Rosé Symposium - Toronto, Friday, April 12, 6-9 p.m.
Cheers Ontario! Winemakers Dinner - Ottawa, Wednesday, April 17, 6:30 p.m.
Cheers Ontario! Taste & Buy Event - Ottawa, Thursday, April 18, 6-9 p.m. (hint, hint: tickets are 1/2 price until Sunday, so buy now!)
Eureka! The California Wine Discovery
I will definitely be at the Cheers Ontario Taste & Buy Event. And with prices currently half off, this is the week to buy tickets! It’s a great deal, considering there will be over 100 wines to taste with your all-inclusive ticket. You’re bound to find a new favourite! Usually this event happens in both Toronto and Ottawa, but Toronto bowed out this year, so Ottawa is the place to be! It’s all going down at the elegant Fairmont Château Laurier, right next to the Byward Market and all its trendy restaurants (Play, Buvette Daphnée, Oz Kafé, Starling, etc.). Given that it’s always a good idea to eat dinner before wine events, this is the perfect excuse for an evening out! Hope to see you there.
If you are interested in going but finances are tight, I hear you. Simply reply and send me a message, and I’ll see what I can do.
What’s on the horizon?
I’m plotting a new event myself this summer and want to gauge interest:
Leave a comment below if you have ideas, requests, or fave wineries to visit.
As I listen to the rain/snow mix pelting against my window, I will leave you with this glorious sunset view from St. Martin, so we can all imagine a bit of warmth on this chilly evening.
Happy wining!
